FAQ

How long does liquid wrap last on my car?
Liquid wrap will virtually last for years. It is very durable and will not lose it's bond neither peels or bubble on his own like occasionally happen with vinyl wrap. After few years, or during this period if desired, a new refresher coat can be easily applied on top at a reduced cost with the same colour or a different one. Liquid wrap is made and applied to have a temporary look (a couple of years even if it will last more) and not to last 10+ years. Is not a "cheap" paint job version neither a way to mimic a normal paint job or vinyl wrap. If your car is already in bad conditions and you are planning to have it more permanent, just let us know and we will be able to provide a discount as we will only need to apply few coats and then every 2-3 years we can cover on top with the same or a different colour still at discounted prices.

What does ozwraps™ do?
Ozwraps™ provides liquid wrap installation/application service to customers who don't have space, skills, tools to dip their own car.

What happen if I or someone damage the removable coating on my car?
We will look after our customers very well and you can bring the car back to us for a fix at minimum charges. Touch ups are fast to do and depending on the kind of damage, it can be next to nothing for small fixes.

How often should I wash my car?
Every time your car gets dirty, we suggest to rinse it with clean water and if it really gets dirty, wash it by hand with a soft sponge and gentle soap. Dry it with a chamois cloth and apply the protective wax we supply to give that protection shield against scratches and heavy stains. You can read more about liquid wrap care & maintenance.

My car has been fixed by a panel beater after a small accident. Do I need to respray it or is possible to dip it on bare metal?
Is up to you if you want to respray the panel before dipping. Is perfectly possible for us to dip your car even on bare metal as long is smooth.

Do you sell DIY kits?
No. For the simple reason that dipping a car is not really a DIY project to do at home unless you know how to do it. However we still do not sell gallons or kits to the public.  Many other suppliers suggest the opposite and customers prefer to purchase only 1 gallon of liquid wrap to save some money on a full car dip. We don't suggest that.

Do you provide warranty on the product?
Ozwraps™ does not provide warranty on the product simply because our supplier doesn't offer warranty to us, however our extended experience in using this product let us firmly believe that is a safe and long lasting coating when treated and maintained the right way and full support will be available.

Do you provide warranty on the application service you provide?
Yes. We always aim to let customers achieve full satisfaction. Our service include application only and if on pick up after the job has been done you uniform finish in all panels, you will be entitled of having your liquid wrap corrected. But don't worry as you will not be called in for pickup unless the job is done the right way.

Is it possible to achieve gloss finish?
Yes, but the cost and time to apply will push the total cost up similar to a vinyl wrap and because this we suggest gloss vinyl wrap for your vehicle.

Do you offer pearls, chameleons or any other fancy finishes?
Yes, we do offer pearl finish already at no extra charge and a new and big chameleon iridescent, liquid chrome silver and thermochromic range is coming out soon.

What Should I Do about Gas or Fuel Spills?
If you spill fuel on your liquid wrap, do NOT touch it. Simply let it evaporate away and if  stain is left you can get in touch with us for a easy fix.

Do you sand off my original paint job before dipping?
Absolutely not. When we dip the car, we only wash and take off old wax and/or polish  with paint safe wax and grease remover to ensure perfect and long lasting bond on your car surface. That is a simple auto spa treatment. This is valid for older cars too. We do not perform any panel beating jobs but ONLY apply liquid wrap. Same thing when you want to vinyl wrap your car but in this case vinyl wrapping is almost impossible as vinyl will not be able to stick and expensive panel fixings are required.

Will it hold up to the elements (sun, winter)?
Yes, is extremely resistant to the elements. A lot of customers actually dip their wheels and cars specifically to protect the original surface from the winter season and other nasty elements.

Does liquid wrap really peel off?
Yes. We always apply a minimum of 8 coats for durability and peelability however, peelability will largely depends of how is being maintained by the customer and will be harder to peel if you take don't follow the simple maintenance process.

Will liquid wrap work exactly the same on every car, every surface?
Although liquid wraps products works and behaves exactly the same for most users, there are certainly specific circumstances in which the OEM car products could not behave as expected. The age of the car, the condition of the clear coat, if you have already done a DIY paint job on the surface with cheap glossifiers, some brands of existing ceramic coatings etc. are all possible factors that could effect already start to degrade the car paint condition before we start dipping and the new liquid wrap coating could behave in different ways. For this reason, ozwraps™ will not accept any responsibilities about longevity but more than happy to offer full ongoing support to customers.

Could liquid wrap damage my clear coat?
Ozwraps™ has been using premium liquid spray wrap products on cars since 2012, and we NEVER experienced damage to the cars we have dipped. Is more expensive than other products in the market like other minor Australian "back yard" online sellers trying to imitate us... but we rather spend more and make less profit and have peace of mind knowing we delivered a great service. We only use premium "ready to spray" paint and we can assure your car paint will be 100% safe.

My car clear coat is peeling off. Can you still dip it?
Yes. It can be done but we will not include warranty because we can still assure perfect bond on the car surface (in this case the clear coat) but your already damaged clear coat can get worse and detach from your car taking the liquid wrap as well. In this case however we sand off after your authorisation the weakest parts already peeling trying to take away some clear about to come off soon to ensure maximum durability.

Do you provide liquid wrap removal service?
Mainly not because
peelability will largely depends of how is being maintained by the customer and will be harder to peel if you take don't follow the simple maintenance process. For application we can give you an exact fixed quote but to offer a removal service we will have to charge by the hour. If the wrap hasn't been maintained the right way and/or kept for too long, then it will require some extra time to have it removed and we don't like to present unexpected bills to our customers.

How do I wash the dipped areas of my car?
Dipped cars can be easily hand washed and/or pressure washed with regular car wash soap. We suggest to wait a week or two before starting to wash your car with a pressure washer. We tested 1800 PSI 10 cm away and hold perfectly. However a distance of 20-30 cm is suggested.

Will liquid wrap protect my car from UV ?
Yes. But however UV will "eat" pretty much everything, even your stock paint. This is why some cars have their stronger and harder clear coat peeling off or faded. We developed our easy to apply protective spray wax to help protect your wrapped car and make it last even longer.
